Most Common Birth Defects

According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, birth defects affect one in every 33 babies born in the U.S. each year. That means a baby is born with a birth defect every 4.5 minutes. Birth defects are the leading cause of infant deaths, accounting for 20% of all infant deaths. Here is a list of some of the most common major birth affects:

Central Nervous System Defects
